Frog Sprog Nights

Recently we installed a new pond in the back yard.

With all the rain we have been having lately the frogs have taken up residence. And boy have they taken up residence. They have even taken over the pot trays which have water in them. Frog sprog is everywhere.

Soon there will be frogs all over the place.

The fucking frogs are singing day and night. You know when you have a glue ear and your ear clicks with the sound of a click click click?

Well that's what it sounds like.

It's worse than drip torture!!

This is living in nature at it's best. They say that if you have frogs in your garden you have a healthy ecosystem. This must be frog heaven.

    That sounds and looks nasty!
I'd go nuts with all that constant croaking.

Woah, your poor ears. I responded in my blog but I'll say it again here: my folks advised to put heavy screen over your ponds etc, after emptying them of the noisy residents, of course. If not, they also said the best thing to do would be to buy a pair of earplugs.

The other option is to learn about French cuisine and start eating frogs legs... ;)

Hey Chitty! ..yeah mate they are driving me a little nuts.. I might just take Maso's suggestion and net the ponds.

One thing though Maso is that we have fish in the ponds but they seem to be dying, weird if frogs are supposed to indicated good health. Dunno why this is happening. Thanks for the suggestion!!

The reason your fish are dying is because the frogs are a. sucking all the oxygen out of the water (in which case, you'll need to get some sort of aerator device for the pond) and/or b. eating all the food befor the fish can get any.
