Will i FINALLY get to see snow?

While the northern hemisphere has been basking in a really hot summer .. here in Oz it has been really mild for winter with temperatures reaching 23 deg C or about mid 70's F during the day. There has been no rain the past couple of months here.. well ever since we installed our rain water tank and it has felt like spring.

Not anymore!

During the next couple of days we are supposed to be havig a one in twenty year event where freezing cold air from Antarctica is coming up through the bottom of the country and sweeping its way past us here on the east coast. Just check out the picture and you can see the freezing weather come up from the bottom.

Today in Thredbo it is a whopping minus 7 degrees with a windchill factor of minus 17! his is all in C. SO if this weather pattern comes up the coast and remains cold.. maybe just maybe I might be able to finally get to see the snow! I dont think it will snow here where I am because I am too close to sea level but they are saying snow down to 600 mtres above sea so Im thinking a drive up the mountains would be a good 20 minutes from here, could some snow angels be made?

Ill sure bring the camera along for this one!

It is predicted tomorrow we are going to have a top temperature of 8 deg C or 46deg F! Winter has finally arrived albeit a little late.
